What is a disengaged workforce costing Australia?
An astonishing 79% of Australian workers feel they are ‘out of the game' in their own workplaces.
According to the 2006 Gallup Organization survey:
- 21% of Australian employees are Engaged Employees - employees who work with passion and feel a profound connection to their company. They drive innovation and move the organisation forward.
- 61% are Not-Engaged Employees - Employees who are essentially "checked-out". They're sleepwalking through their workday, putting time - but not energy or passion into their work.
- 18% are Actively Disengaged Employees - these employees aren't just unhappy at work; they're busy acting out their unhappiness.'Every day, these workers undermine what their engaged co-workers accomplish.
Disengaged employees cost Australian businesses around AU$32.7 billion per annum!
- Absenteeism costs the public and private sectors $7 billion every year.
- Sick leave is costing Australian businesses $2.55 billion a year.
- Depression and anxiety cost the Australian economy almost $10 billion a year in lost productivity.
- One million workers (11.2% of the workforce) took a sick leave day each fortnight in an attempt to cope with stress levels.

What our clients say

Mental fitness is crucial. This is a great way to help prepare the mind to focus and clear away the little things that cloud our perspective, giving us a greater clarity to tackle problems.
