What people say
I now love using the Peace at work Home Integration Course. Initially I found that 5 mins was just not long enough and although I wanted to do more, more quickly, you advised me to go by the book. I practiced most days but I found I wasn’t doing it at the same time, nor at the same place which I know isn’t the best thing. I figured if I was stressed out because I wasn’t doing it 100% by the book, then I would give up and that would be worse. With a young toddler things would often not work out the way I wanted and often, I would have my toddler sitting on my lap looking in the mirror with me. I followed the course for about 4-5 weeks and somehow soon after I lost my routine and missed it very much. Now, I have started doing 15 minute sessions again. I got worked up a bit over not being able to fit a 20 min session in daily and decided if 15 mins is all I can do, then I should just go with that. As you can see it has been very much a learning curve trying to make the practice work for me and my lifestyle, so that I can continue this for the rest of my life.
The result for me has been that my anxiety attacks are almost gone and that in itself is fantastic! Peace at work has given me my life back. I can’t say that all my stress is gone, as some stress is good for you, but I don’t seem to get so worked up by it, and if I do, it’s for a shorter duration. All good! As for my marriage, we are still together and the future looks much better. Through reading again and taking my mind off the problems in my life and focusing on something else and through practicing and calming down from within, it has helped me immensely. I don’t bring up the subject of Peace at work, but if a conversation leads to something relating to stress and illness, I talk about Peace at work and that it really works!
